Today I will be teaching you about the history of food and restaurant culture in Buenos Aires. As this is a sensitive date (close to holiday + a Monday) the exact details of places visited will need to be confirmed closer to the date once we have venues' holiday hours available. The food tour follows a single format, however, four different locations that all act as a course in a meal (welcome aperitifs, appetizer, main, dessert). The theme of the tour will be to give you a view into how immigration from Italy and Spain has profoundly influenced the way that Argentines eat every day -- Argentina's very unique take on pizza, as well as homey mom and pop shops that fuse Italian and Spanish food indiscriminately onto a single menu.
